Time Management Games: Happy Chef

Yes, I looove time management games. Time Management games are games in which you perform a series of tasks or processes as quickly as possible e.g. manage/cook/serve at a restaurant, stock/run a supermarket, babysit, manage a hotel, build/decorate houses. When I finish a TMG I love, I Google trying to find more like it. Also, when I say 'finish', I mean get the gold/expert score on every single level!

Today's game is...

... Happy Chef
Forgot I had played this game AGES ago. Played it again (and clocked it) over the last few days. It was just as fun (and sometimes, as frustrating haha) the second time around. I like that there is a huge variety in the meals you prepare.

You start with hamburgers and hot-dogs, and through your dedication and hard work, you manage to create the best known restaurant in the country! Cook more than 100 different dishes, ranging from hot-dogs to sophisticated seafood meals. Decorate your restaurants, buy new furniture and accessories, develop expert culinary skills, upgrade your kitchen and become a happy chef!

- Decorate your restaurant, Upgrade your menu.

... Royal Envoy 2
I really enjoyed this game - I even got seriously stuck on a few levels (level 58 and 62 - I had to google for a solution to get 3 stars on those levels!). If you get the Collector's Edition, it comes with a walk-through for all levels.

Explore ancient caves and forgotten mines, meet mystical nymphs and leprechauns, engage in snowball fights in the frigid arctic, and rescue the people of Middleshire from the fires of a terrible volcano. With you as their guide, the people will build a veritable paradise - while you win prizes for your speed and quick wit!

- 63 unique levels and 30 bonus challenges, Over 60 achievements to unlock, Lots of all-new quests, New game modes (night and fog), An exciting story with zany characters....

A Little Xmas token

I've finally finished my card sets! I delivered some to friends at work yesterday. I still have a few more to give out :) Spreading a little Xmas spirit before December has begun!

See my previous posts on the cards themselves (here and here and here and here)

20 November 2012

The Xmas card madness continues

Yes, I am still going on this year’s Xmas cards!! Good news is: I have made 20 for myself to use, and I have 7 packs of 4 cards ready to give as little gifts.... Now my brother has asked for 20 that he could use! So, I am still creating. Here are the two latest simple designs:

For 'No Peeking/Merry Christmas'  I've used Kaisercraft paper (Mint Twist collection), pink card, Papertryink Tiny Treats Xmas stamps, a corner punch, a tag punch, pink and green ink, rhinestones, the parcels, tree and stripes I cut from the paper, and foam squares and double-sided tape.

For 'No Peeking/Holly Jolly' I've used Kaisercraft paper (Mint Twist collection), blue card, Papertryink Tiny Treats Xmas stamps, a tag punch, a holly leaf punch, pink ink and clear ink with silver embossing powder (using a heat gun to set), a white ink pen (down the middle of the holly), rhinestones, buttons, foam squares and double-sided tape.

Coldplay 10 Nov 2012

A large chunk (50,000 odd) of Auckland filtered into Mt Smart (or 'Not so smart', considering it was a nightmare to get OUT of the stadium!) on Saturday. I was one of them :)

We were in and positioned before 6pm - Coldplay were scheduled to come on at 9pm. In the meantime, we enjoyed the pre-show entertainment: 'The Pierces' and 'The Temper Trap'. I was extremely gleeful when Temper Trap ended on Sweet Disposition! Awesome!!

This was my third time seeing Coldplay live (posts on 2009 concert here and here). They *never* disappoint. In fact, the first time I saw them, I was convinced I didn't even like Coldplay! I went along with a friend (yay for free tickets) and was converted into an fan before the first song was finished. I went and bought 'Parachutes' and 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' the next day. The rest is history.

Saturday night's concert was no different - amazing show, incredible light shows - lasers, confetti, fireworks... and the music... the music was brilliant!

I heart my new duvet

I've had my eye out for a while, but couldn't find a new duvet cover that I liked. Yesterday, bingo!! My room is not in any way coordinated like the 'official' pic, but you get the idea. The tree and bird is very me :)

Halloween 2012

I love Halloween and all things spooky. I don't normally celebrate it in any official way as it's not a big thing in NZ like it is in, say, USA. Also, I can be lazy!

This year was to be no different. I was in a $2 store getting some craft supplies for card-making, when I saw their Halloween stand. So, I bought myself some dangling flashing jack-o-lantern earrings (as you do hehe).

At another store my brother and I found this really cool bright orange plastic spiderweb dish, perfect for trick-or-treater candy...

Another visit to the $2 store, saw me buy a couple of plastic jack-o-lantern containers...

Then suddenly Halloween happened at our house! I had now acquired a few decorations, halloween-inspired food, DIY labels, containers and cups... and invited my friend Sarah over to join in the fun (I had also invited my parents, but they couldn't make it unfortunately). It was never meant to be a party... but the three of us had fun!

I DEFINITELY have to do this on a BIGGER scale next year - either for my birthday, or for Halloween 2013... or, hey, BOTH!

Please excuse the crappy cell-phone pictures... and the lack of composition hehe You'll get the general idea though. Happy Halloween!

Welcome to our humble abode ('Beware' tape, and a 'Happy Halloween' sign on the door')

Trick-or-treat candy corner (as per the other 4/5 years, we didn't have a single visitor! At least we were prepared)

Eye balls and Worms/Snakes! mmmm ($2 store glass containers, chocolate eye balls, gummy snakes and worms, DIY printed labels)

Super-excited to find that Cadbury put out a Halloween creme egg! Sceme Egg mmm

Next came the beverages - Witches Brew for Sarah and I (aka Sav Blanc!) and Spider Venom for Rich (aka L&P soda). DIY printable labels :)

I decided Sarah and I required special 'chalices' for drinking our Witches Brew in... (note my 'halloween' nail polish)

Nibbles: Vomit and Crispy skin

Now it was time to enjoy!

We watched 'The Cabin in the Woods' (loved it just as much on the second watch!), and had dinner: Pus & Blood, with Toxic Weeds, aka...

And as if we weren't fill enough, there was Halloween inspired dessert too!

I got Sarah two treats. First was a chocolate ghost mmm

And the second was... see if you can guess hehe

Muwhahahaha xoxo
