Favourite... Lip Gloss

(My skin: Fair colouring, Normal - though prone to both dry and oily areas, Hormonal break-outs usually around my chin/neck, Dark under-eye, in my thirties so some anti-aging concerns)

I am many things, and one of these is: lip gloss addict. I love lip gloss and I am always applying it. I don't want to hear people talking to me about ruining my lips' natural moisture - I want yummy, sparkly, glossy, tasty, pretty lips!

The inside of my hand bags are littered with different lip glosses - tubes, sticks, wands... I have them all. So what are my favourites??

First a couple of mentions:

Benefit's Sugarbomb Ultra Plush. I wanted to love this lip gloss so much... It has a subtle colour and sparkle... BUT, in my opinion it is too thin! The consistency does allow it to easily glide on, using only a small amount, but I prefer a thicker gloss, one that has a little more staying/sticking power.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine. Looks like a lip-stick, applies like a gloss. Again, I wanted to like this one (I tried #54). However, again a VERY light consistency; easily rubbed off.

I am still using both - sugarbomb sits on my desk at work for easy-to-reach touchups. And maybe its thinner consistency will grow on me!

MAC Lip Tinted Lip Glass, in Nymphette. I used this for a while and there is nothing wrong with it - great colour alone or over lip-stick (my favourite was Nymphette over MAC's Velvet Teddy). It's definitely one I will go back to, but my favourites are 'out-glossing' it at the moment.

My updated favourites list (in no particular order):

Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker
Fasten your seatbelts! It's Super-Colour Sexy Mother Pucker with SUPERFILL™ Lip Plumping Spheres and LIPSWELL™ Volume Boost Technology. As ALL OUT Pout-Plumping as our 'Original Formula', in a seductive Half Naked colour with a fabulous buttered popcorn flavour.

For me this has been my favourite for years (curse Sarah for getting me addicted to a brand I can't get from NZ!). It is a thick, shiny gloss that goes the distance. I actually like the tingly feeling from plumping agent. Currently I am using 'Plum'.

Urban Decay Lip Junkie
Non-sticky, high shine gloss, with a minty flavour - nice and fresh! Available in a range of delicious colours, this luxe lip gloss give a wash of colour with a soft, cushiony texture. Never sticky or gummy, these lip glosses have a longer staying power than other glosses. Vegan too! Not tested on animals.

Only downside to these (other than, AGAIN, not being sold in NZ) is that when my first tube arrived, the cool purple lid broke off, leaving me with the plain 'under lid'. I tried gluing it to no avail.

Special mentions: L'Occitane Verbena Sorbet Cooling Gloss, and Lancome Juicy Tube #33 (Pamplemousse). L'Occitane's is a rich, cooling clear gloss I am trying. I'm back on a Juicy Tube after a 10 or so years...
