IMO, there are some actors/actresses that were overlooked (from shows that I have been watching):
  • I really think Hannibal has been overlooked. Hugh Dancy was/is fantastic as Will Graham.
  • Parks and Rec as Comedy Series. This season could possibly be called a weaker season, but it was still hilarious! And what about Nick Offerman?!
  • Happy Endings had an amazing last (ever) season. Deserves some sort of nomination!
  • The Good Wife didn't get nominated for Best Drama?!
  • No nominations for Sons of Anarchy?!
  • I would've really liked to see John Noble FINALLY recognised for his work on Fringe :(
  • New Girl didn't get a Best Comedy nomination - this surprises me! And no nods for the cast.
  • Game of Thrones had some amazing performanaces this season... yet Emilia Clarke gets the nomination (e.g. Michelle Fairly, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau...)?!
  • The Walking Dead?!

Reasons to see films at NZFF...

Flicks did this last year (not sure about the year before). Too cute. Here are the ones I am seeing:

Roswell Google

For the 66th anniversary of the Roswell UFO sightings, the Google Doodle is a game! Click the logo and the alien crash lands - you have to help him find the pieces of his ship, white meeting a few characters along the way. Very Cute!

Once you complete the game, click on the magnifying glass to get results on the Roswell incidents.

My Birthday Demands

It's that time of the year again. My mum got the jump on asking me how I wanted to celebrate my birthday... and I decided a dinner at home with the family...

Of course, there is a preferred menu: (Mum knows EXACTLY what I dishes I mean with the following descriptions, which is awesome)

To start: that cheese-ball thingy that I like, with crackers

Entree: Dad's fresh spring rolls

Main: Michelle's Potato, Mum's tabouli, Cross-cut blade with mushroom soup thingy, and salad.

Dessert: Brandy snaps.

The only real theme here is: me!

It also says a lot about me that one present I have already received included a Hippie Stick. After all, I am turning 34...

xo

Sometimes we expect more...

Mid-Winter Christmas Dinner

I plan work's mid-winter xmas party/dinner. The vision was for silver and white... and it was non-negiotable (or suffer CEO's wrath!). A lot happened in the couple of days before (including xmas crackers, silver and white, being sourced from Napier!). It came together beautifully - and we all had a wonderful night!

Candles lined the way - magical

The boardroom has never looked so awesome - silver, white, candles, and flowers.

Some of my prep - hand-stamped place cards (in the silver and white theme of course).

The gorgeous table setting

Oh Christmas tree!
