Time Management Games: Royal Envoy: Campaign for the Crown

WTF you say?! Yes, I looove time management games. So much so, that when I finish one I love, I google trying to find more like it. Also, when I say 'finish', I mean get the gold/expert score on every single level!

Time Management games are games in which you perform a series of tasks for your 'client' as quickly as possible e.g. manage/cook/serve at a restaurant, stock/run a supermarket, babysit, manage a hotel, build/decorate houses.

Today's game is...

... Royal Envoy: Campaign for the Crown
This is the third game I've played in the Royal Envoy series. I really make the challenges and the story line. Not too tricky- a couple of levels I had to replay to get three-star scores. I will definitely continue to play games in this series :)

Breaking news! The monarchy is at risk! Someone wearing a black cloak broke into the royal palace. The stranger was fearful and grim, and challenged the King's right to the throne. He accused the King of being unable to manage the kingdom, and demanded to be elected King himself! Help the King win the elections and defend the truth and justice in the kingdom.

Long Time, No Craft part 2

After hanging out with Becs I seemed to get my crafting groove back. I had some fun with her PTI tree die (which I had ran through her machine before going home), and with a few stamps she gave me :)

Long Time, No Craft part 1

It's been a while since I got into my crafting. Last weekend I spent the day with my friend, Becs, in her amazing craft room. I raided her supplies, and fell in love with a number of her Studio Calico stamp sets (from her monthly kits). Mainly I became obsessed with arrow stamps, and her 'Be Awesome'stamp.

I decided to let the stamps do the talking, and stuck with Kraft card (which I enjoy stamping with). Most of my stamping was directly onto the card- this usually makes me very nervous (as I tend to screw up!).

Here's some of the sets I used:

This is a 'blank' Be Awesome card before I started in with the arrows:

Found Becs' little wooden shapes, and some enamel dots to embelish with:

All are very simple and give off a sort of 'trendy vibe' that I dig. Before I left I made two other random cards:

My other project was a card for a friend, whose friends are getting married. I used their initials, but the rest I just winged, inspired by the paper set (can't remember its name, but it was a Basic Grey one).

Time Management Games: Build-a-lot: Mysteries

Yes, I looove time management games. Time Management games are games in which you perform a series of tasks or processes as quickly as possible e.g. manage/cook/serve at a restaurant, stock/run a supermarket, babysit, manage a hotel, build/decorate houses. When I finish a TMG I love, I Google trying to find more like it. Also, when I say 'finish', I mean get the gold/expert score on every single level!

Today's game is...

... Build-a-lot: Mysteries

Get ready for some spine-tingling fun in Build-a-Lot: Mysteries! Work with eccentric members of the Graves Family to build, buy and flip houses in each of their eerie neighborhoods. Look for cryptic clues and earn fun achievements as you unearth the family's peculiar talents, odd hobbies and questionable pasts. With three campaigns to play, it won't take long for to you discover that some family secrets can't stay buried forever.
  • Play through 65 mysterious levels
  • Eerily entertaining ambiance
  • Unlock fun achievements
This is the 9th game in the Build-a-lot series (the only one I haven't played is Build-a-lot: Monopoly edition, which I didn't even know existed!). I love this series, and Mysteries was fun... BUT, it's not my favourite from the series. It felt a little monotonous I am sorry to say. Still, I clocked it until the end, and into the Expert levels - though I didn't feel compelled to finish all of those.
