Delicious Food!



Tequila Mockingbird, in Christchurch - 15 August

We did the Chef's Comilona menu, which on this night was:

Pao de Queijo - Jalapeno, cream cheese, Brazilian style cheese puff

Smoke Fish Croquetas - Lemon, chimichurri, traditional style Spanish croquettes

Spiced Crispy Chicken - Sweet potato salad, jerk spice caramel, Jamaican style chicken marinated in all spice and chilli

Arepas con venado - Chipotle, red wine and tomato, freshly cooked corn arepas served with chipotle BBQ braised venison

Blackened Salmon Fillet - Smoked mussel, ham hock, and leek ragout, sea run Akaroa salmon grilled with our spice mix

Wakanui Beef Cheek Asado Negro - Parsnip, black bean vinaigrette, golden raisins, Venezuelan style beef braised with red wine and chocolate

With, Red Beans and Rice - Coriander and oregano; And, Baby Gem Lettuce - Apple, celery, walnuts, blue cheese.

Churros Con Dulche De Leche - Freshly cooked beignets served with warm caramel sauce


I had cocktails with the meal - actually 2 of the same cocktail: Hibiscus Marisco; the unique flavour of hibiscus is mixed with limes and Pisco
