Time Management Games: the Delicious Series

Yes, I looove time management games. Time Management games are games in which you perform a series of tasks or processes as quickly as possible e.g. manage/cook/serve at a restaurant, stock/run a supermarket, babysit, manage a hotel, build/decorate houses. When I finish a TMG I love, I Google trying to find more like it. Also, when I say 'finish', I mean get the gold/expert score on every single level!

 Today's game is...

... the Delicious Series (UPDATED June 2015)

The 'Delicious' Series is one of my all time favourite series. Each game adds to the story of Emily, with her family and friends. And as a new instalment is added, the gaming only gets better!

I hadn't thought about the series for a while... and now I've missed a couple new ones! Thankfully I got talking to a friend, who, as it turns out is a huge fan too. Now I realise I am TWO Delicious games behind... but that means I have TWO to play! What a treat!

What follows is NOT a comprehensive walkthrough by any means - just my thoughts, and a few tips. I am hoping to write walkthrough posts for all the games in the series!

I will be posting more about Emily/Delicious games - visit my navigation page, or scroll through my Emily posts here.

The reason I love these games so much is they encompass everything I like in a TMG:
  • Creating items (this time, creating/cooking food in the kitchen)
  • Delivery/Serving
  • Having not only a target each level, but an expert goal (gold star status)
  • Keeping customers happy (and getting bigger tips/more money)
  • Upgrades/decorations
  • BONUS: often there are extra challenges during the game. The most famous challenge in the Delicious series is to catch the naughty mouse; it appears on every level, starting in Delicious 3: Emily's Tea Garden. But it's not just about the mouse: there are often other things that need to be completed, as well as keeping all the customers happy (e.g. in Honeymoon cruise, the engine needs repairing and there are five tools that need to be a) found in a level, and b) delivered to Jimmy when he needs them)
  • BONUS: the story-line! Each game builds on Emily, her family, and friends! There is even a flashback game with Emily's Childhood Memories. In the next game, to be released 2014 (in the US fall), Emily is having a baby!

The Delicious Series

Delicious 1
Release date: 13/7/2006
For a full post on Delicious 1 click HERE

The first game challenged players to successfully run eight restaurants of five days each. It doesn't have much of a story line, and focuses only on game play. Restaurant decorations are automatically rewarded. There are no trophies for achievements either.

Delicious 2 (Deluxe)
Release date: 29/6/07

Emily's back for more delicious fun in this fast-paced sequel! Uncle Antonio needs Emily's help to get out of a financial fix. Help Emily rescue her family's finances in five all-new restaurants, each with a unique menu and theme. Use your earnings to purchase decorations sure to make your customers smile. Emily's friends and family are on hand to help, but it's going to take your serving savvy to get Uncle Antonio back on track. Featuring two game modes, all-new customers, and hours of fast family fun, Delicious 2 Deluxe is just the thing to satisfy your craving for fun.

Two Game Modes: Antonio's Restaurants and The Happy Customer, Five All-New Restaurants, 60 Challenging Levels Featuring New Customers, Decorate Your Restaurant Your Way

Bearing in mind we're going back to 2007, the second in this series is a basic (and solid) time management game. Emily is kindly helping her Uncle out, starting with a cafe in the park.

There are no extra challenges during game-play (and no naughty mouse to be caught yet- that starts in Delicious 3), and the format between restaurants is the same (every level more dishes and drinks get added, and then help is given in the form of an entertainer and a table-clearer).

The formats may be similar, but the restaurants are different. Each restaurant (there are 5) has its own setting, with appropriate food (1st a cafe in the park, to a Bistro, then an Italian restaurant, followed by an American style diner/cafeteria, and finally a Sushi restaurant!). As you go, you earn money to decorate each restaurant. My favourite restaurants here are Italian and Sushi :)

As you finish all 10 levels at each restaurant, you unlock 'Happy Customer' endless game mode - with both a normal and an expert scenario. Basically, play as long as you can, your only limit being: no more than three angry customers can leave i.e. keep everyone happy! hehe

There might not be additional challenges yet, but there are 12 trophies to collect:
  • Marble Ice-cream: Complete the Park
  • Copper Croissant: Complete the Bistro
  • Bronze Espresso: Complete the Italian Restaurant
  • Silver Hamburger: Complete the Cafeteria
  • Golden Chopsticks: Complete the Sushi Bar
  • Restauranteur Extraordinaire: Get all expert scores
  • Excellent Taste: Buy all special decorations
  • Employee of the Month: Have 100 happy customers leave your restaurant
  • You should be ashamed: Have 50 customers leave angry
  • Fire Brigade Subscription: Burn 100 products
  • Tip Magnet: Get 10,000 worth of tips
  • Money Shovel: Get at least 100,000 points in any scenario in endless mode

Delicious 4 - Emily's Taste of Fame
Release Date: 3/6/09

Voted TOP TIME MANAGEMENT GAME at the 2010 Great Games Awards! Emily's back and ready for prime time in Delicious - Emily's Taste of Fame, the latest chapter in the hugely popular Delicious series of games. Emily's trip to Hollywood and her new cooking show, "Emily's Taste of Fame", comes to a sudden halt when her trusty car breaks down in a small roadside town. To make matters worse, Emily has no money for repairs. Fortunately, Snuggford is full of culinary crises and Emily always leaps at an opportunity to roll up her sleeves. Help her get on the road again by whipping up scrumptious meals and serving them to a huge variety of customers, both familiar and new, in loads of challenging levels. And, just like in real life, every level features an unexpected event that's sure to keep you on your toes! Will Emily make it in the big time? Or, are there more important things than fame and fortune?

5 new restaurants! Lots of fab new products, and new challenges - not only do we have the mouse to find each level, but there is a unique task to achieve! Love it. It means balancing your customers with the task e.g. finding all the pearls from a broken necklace, fix a table, and collect all Francois' parcels. I chose to replay this in 'advanced' mode.

We start with Betty's Drive-thru - with another neat twist, being the drive-thru itself. Restaurant 2, Mo's Farm, is one of my favourite 'restaurants'. In addition to preparing food at the counter one must: follow the chicken to pick up eggs, pick apples and cherries off the trees, and milk to cow to make 3 different products.

Charles' Candy Shop is the 3rd restaurant, and to me, the most basic. I get more enjoyment and challenge from varied tasks - the only real difference here is collecting the candy from the shelves, and making sure you keep Charles stocking up the candy jars (point to note: it is fun to see Francois dressed as a candy bar, giggling as he twirls about to entertain customers).

The TV Studio is where the game has been heading from the start. With her car finally fixed, we head into the studio kitchen, restaurant 4. Here we get back to more detailed challenges - preparing and serving food, while remembering to run and do adverts, look for the mouse, AND complete the task of the day.

The call of Snuggford brings us back for restaurant 5, the Snuggford Fair. I think the fair has Emily doing the most running around, with stalls and cooking stations spread all around - definitely adds to the challenge!

There are 18 fireworks trophies to collect:
  • Closure Rocket: Finish the entire game.
  • Show-Biz Burner: Use your entertainer on every table customer during one day.
  • The Chef's Toolkit: Make all the products of a restaurant in one day.
  • The Fat Lady: Get all other 17 pieces of fireworks
  • Pretty Missile: Buy all the decorations for one restaurants.
  • Preferred People Popper: Serve four of the same customer types in a row.
  • Bang-For-Your-Buck: Make a total of 100,000 bucks.
  • ?Mystery Ding?: Wasted time by testing Emily's strength and ringing the bell.
  • Triple Cash Combo Blast: Use the register to handle the payments of three customers at the same time.
  • The Panda: Burn those shoes and walk 150 miles.
  • The Rat Pack: Collect all 50 mice.
  • The Happy Pill: Handle the payment of 500 ecstatic customers.
  • The Star: Reach the TV Studio.
  • Break-An-Egg: Pick up every egg in a single day.
  • The Perfectionist: Reach the expert score on every level.
  • Get-Your-Hands-Dirty-BOMB: Make a total of 2,500 products.
  • The GameHouse Bang: Find all 10 GameHouse objects.
  • Rocket of Respect: Watch the entire credits without skipping (after finishing the game).

Delicious 5 - Emily's Holiday Season
Release Date: 18/11/09

Deck the halls with love and joy in Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season, a wonderful time management sequel to warm up your holidays! It's winter in Snuggford and Emily is preparing for her family's holiday party at a cozy little lodge. While making arrangements, the new owner quickly recognises her skills and hires her to run the place. Soon, romance fills the air as two suitors vie for Emily's attention. Can Emily carefully balance her new duties and build a relationship between one of these two men? Whom will she choose to fall in love with? Join Emily in this romantic new adventure through a winter wonderland! Meet her family and catch up with friends. Help and serve guests delicious holiday treats. Go to the winter fair and visit the old farm, now an ice rink. Take part in jolly activities like making snow-angels and snowmen, ice-skating, skiing, and throwing snowballs. Find out who the lucky guy will be!

I chose to replay this in 'advanced' mode.

Holiday Season is a nice little game, but definitely feels like an extra to Taste of Fame. One thing that irks me: stirring the pot! If it's not the cranberries, it's the hot chocolate, or the mulled wine! Honestly, I find this a dumb task... maybe perhaps because it's a task I have no control over so can't plan for (when it's time to boil over, it's going to boil over!). Also, it's in all the restaurants - would've been nice to have some variation.

Like Taste of Fame there are additional challenges almost every day, and each restaurant has its own unique extra challenge.

Snuggford Hotel is a bit of a dump (poor Emily). Why someone would order JUST beans, and ONLY a pot of cranberries I'll never know... but we prepare and sell these items hehe! The extra challenge here is receiving and supplying mail and hotel keys. Another new trick is complimentary newspapers - there a number of these to give away each day that will make the customer happy. At the end of Day 4 Emily throws her big holiday dinner, and we get to see a lot of her family and friends from other games as guests.

Next is the Winter Fair, a re-imagining of the Snuggford Fair from Taste of Fame. The 'Christmas-y' touches are lovely. Make sure to keep your eyes extra peeled for the mouse - the snow (and snow storm days) do not make it easy! Also, keep an eye out for the chance to take Santa photos - Francois can do these in later days when a child sits on Santa's knee (nice bonus $$).

For the 3rd restaurant, we return to the Snuggford Hotel - Renovated. It's looking modern!  This includes a new elevator instead of the stairs - when giving out a hotel room card (the keys are gone), make sure to press the right elevator button for the new guest. We've also got to keep logs on the fire (guests pay a nice bonus $$). There is a fun element with the kebabs - 3 different ingredients can be shish-kebabed in any order (which does make prep harder!).

The 4th restaurant is the Ski Slope - I especially like this one for all it's running around and fun food. Make sure to have the cheese fondue already at the table before guests arrive for a $50 bonus a pop!! (and who doesn't like a penguin in a top hat?!)

Finally we head (back) to Mo's Farm - again, 'Christmas-y' after playing it in Taste of Fame. Watch out for injured skaters on the lake (you'll need to run the first aid kit out to them).

There are 18 fireworks trophies to collect:
  • A Perceptive Missile: Find all 10 Easter Eggs
  • The Griller: Make 500 Grill Products
  • The Star: Get an expert score on all 50 levels.
  • The Master Decorator: Buy all 30 decorations.
  • The Queen of Clean: Clear 500 Tables.
  • The Great Listener: Listen to everyone speak on day 4 of the Old Snuggford Hotel.
  • Pest Control: Catch all 50 Mice
  • The Taste Explosion: Prepare every type of food in every restaurant.
  • The Server: Serve 2500 Customers
  • Quadruple Popper: Get a quadruple payment combo.
  • The Hogger: Have stock prepared when maximum is already present.
  • Santa’s Secret: You get this trophy by….? (SPOILER: Can't get the trophy for Santa's Secret? Try clicking on all of the presents around Santa in the Winter Fair, and see what happens...)
  • Cash Combo Pop: Get 3 payment combos one after the other.
  • The Heart Blow: Choose someone at the end of the story-line.
  • Female Intuition: Have someones order ready on the tray before they order it (at least 2 products).
  • The Planner: Queue 10 actions.
  • The Special Delivery: Accept 100 deliveries.
  • The Best Blast: Collect all trophies.

Delicious 6 - Emily's Childhood Memories (Premium Edition)
Release Date: 3/2/11

Emily is headed home. Home to where she grew up. Home to where many of her most treasured childhood recollections were born. Her parents are close to selling the farm and about to move out, allowing her one final glimpse of how things used to be.

Follow Emily on this touching journey through the 1970's and onward, and reminisce heartwarming episodes of her life as she grew up. Meet childhood friends, play wonderful games, and get out of troubling predicaments in all-new levels of fun. With exhilarating tasks, captivating circumstances, rewarding trophies, and fabulous upgrades, Delicious - Emily's Childhood Memories is certain to find a place in your heart.

Critics say Delicious - Emily's Childhood Memories is "a perfect example of how to make an outstanding time management game."

The Platinum Edition including five Restaurants with 10 extra levels, six additional upgrades, 18 trophies, a comprehensive in-game Strategy Guide, concept art video, and a special Memories screensaver.

As per the usual, there are 5 restaurants each with 10 levels to play. I chose to replay this in 'advanced' mode.

There are more challenges, and of course the naughty mouse to catch on each level. Keep your eyes peeled for the GameHouse objects (finding all 10 gets you a trophy). Also, this is the first game where I have noticed customer's money/tips visibly going down as they lose happiness (you can see the coins disappearing from their speech-bubble).

We start with a clip showing Emily returning to her family's home, where her parents have a 'For Sale' sign up.

The 1st restaurant is The Farm, flashing back to Emily as a little girl, helping our her dad in the 1970s. On day 6 (back on day 8 and 10) I noticed a rooster walking around the Farm - you can click on him, and if you do so 4 times a mini-game pops up! It's memory (cards turned face down that must be turned over and matched with in pairs), but with a very short time-limit - you get a bit more time with each correct guess. You can attempt the game as many times as you like (by clicking the rooster), but the game changes each time hehe. On day 9 Angela, her little sister, is born!

The 2nd restaurant is The Garden, moving to their backyard vegetable garden in the 1980s. We hear that the Truffaut farm (a neighbouring farm, and of course Francois' family home!) is in trouble. Uncle Antonio helps out at the garden, while Emily's parents help out at the Truffaut farm. All the proceeds of their garden are going to go to the Truffauts too! On Day 2, much like the rooster from the 1st restaurant, click the watering can 4 times to play the memory game. Also, I have to say: the crowing rooster on the main page of The Garden drives me CRAZY!!

The 3rd restaurant is The Campsite, which was setup behind the family's barn. It's the 1990s and Emily is off to prom. Emily has to stop what she's doing to play requested records (until you can buy the DJ), and we get to toast rolls, marshmallows, and sausages over a camp fire.

The 4th restaurant is The Restaurant 'Antonio's' (for Uncle Antonio of course), which is run out of the basement of the family home in the 2000s! I'm a sucker for Italian food - love it when the pizza oven gets installed (and, yes, that is tuna - the four options are cheese, mushroom, tuna, and pepperoni).

The 5th restaurant is The Farm again, but this time it's 2010 (the present), and Emily is trying to save her parent's farm - turns out they are selling because of financial troubles. To play the memory game here, click the rocking chair 4 times.

Again, there are 18 fireworks trophies to collect. I wish there were a few more fun/challenging ones (e.g. Female Intuition from Holiday Season, or Mystery Ding from Taste of Fame):
  • The Fat Lady II: Collect all trophies
  • The Taste Explosion: Put four possible variants of a product on your tray.
  • The New Beginning: Finish the game.
  • The Friendly Fizzler: Finish the second restaurant.
  • The Growth Explosion: Grow 400 products.
  • The Fountain of Youth: Finish the first restaurant.
  • The Prom-Bomb: Finish the third restaurant.
  • The Factory Missile: Finish the fourth restaurant.
  • The Stocker Rocket: Have the maximum amount of all fruits in stock.
  • The Spill: Create 120 pourable items (honey etc.) without spilling.
  • The Combo Burner: Get two three-customer combos in a row.
  • The Memory Flash: Capture all 25 memories.
  • The Mouse-Hunter: Catch all 50 mice.
  • The Decoration Burst: Buy all upgrades.
  • The Clean Popper: Clean 500 tables.
  • The-We're-Having-a-BLAST: Entertain a customer to the point of feeling ecstatic 150 times.
  • The Spotter: Get all 10 GameHouse objects (SPOILER: if you are having trouble finding the 10 objects here they are: The Farm, Day 4 - video tape on the rocking chair; The Farm, Day 8 - Emily's tea set by the sand-pit; The Garden, Day 2 - diary on the counter; The Farm, Day 8- logo on the wall of the house; The Campsite, Day 4: Angela's sewing machine between the 2 bars; The Campsite, Day 8 - painting above the DJ booth; The Restaurant, Day 2 - painting from the first Emily game on the wall; The Restaurant, Day 6 - Christmas adornments outside the door; The Farm 2010, Day 4 - the TV inside the door of the house; The Farm 2010, Day 8 - Francois' catalogue by the tree).
  • The Expert: Achieve all expert scores.

Delicious 7 - Emily's True Love (Premium Edition)
Release Date: 30/11/11

Share in Emily's search for true happiness with Delicious - Emily's True Love Platinum Edition, a wonderfully romantic chapter in the amazing series.

A year after Emily opens her own restaurant, business continues to boom though her personal life is completely non-existent. Shades of promise appear when she receives a rose, but she is too shy to act on it. Then one day an old love letter from a summer romance arrives that turns Emily's world upside down. Will she act upon either of these to find her true love?

Find out as you follow Emily on this all-new romantic journey. Work your way through Emily's Place and all the way to Paris helping customers and learning more about the one that got away. Complete clever games, slink your way through awkward situations, and meet fantastic new friends around the world. With exhilarating tasks, endearing surprises, rewarding trophies, and fabulous upgrades, Delicious - Emily's True Love is destined to become your favourite.

I chose to play this in 'advanced' mode.

I'm really pleased I got the premium edition of this - if you are a fan like me, you'll want to too! For me it's all about the 10 extra days of play (!!!), as well as extra items in the shop (only available in this edition). This is my FIRST time playing this game - the others so far were replays, so I was excited to start this one.

Not surprisingly, everything is better in this game! As the series moves on, of course it develops with the time/technology, and keeps what works and boots what doesn't. I love that there are more trophies, some very different settings, and a whole new range of food.

One of the first things I noticed is the customers have finally smartened up- they move to the best place in the queue, which helps Emily serve faster. It was always ridiculous that a customer would line-up behind another when there was a free spot available. Now the customers will move into a free spot!

The 1st restaurant is Emily's Place, a darling little cafe! Emily lives in an apartment above it, and her family and friends help her in the cafe. In day 3, Emily reads a love letter that has arrived 16 years late!! It is from her first love, Jean-Paul, who she met in Paris.

The 2nd restaurant is Carmen's Comedor, a spanish restaurant/canteen in Madrid airport (Emily's flight to Paris is way-laid by an ash cloud). The products are easy to identify, but just for fun here are some of their actual names: Patatas Bravas (fried potatoes with hot sauce), Jamón Ibérico (cured ham), Palmeras (pastries, with chocolate), Churro (spanish donut, with chocolate), Spanish sausage, Paella (a rice dish, with seafood, pepper, or chicken), and Calamari rings (squid).

The 3rd restaurant is Fresco's Diner Express, on a train of all places! The monkey refilling the newspaper/magazine tray amuses me a LOT!

The 4th restaurant is Chez Jean-Paul. I really enjoyed the preparation in this restaurant - soup with sides, boiling pot for different seafood, dishes with different sauces... Just a lot of fun navigating!

The 5th restaurant is Emily's Place again, with Emily's return. Francois has been running the cafe, and we have a new menu to work with (I thought the green lasagne was spinach, but it is basil).

BONUS restaurant is a flash-back to while Emily was away (and helps to explain the huge hole in the floor!). This one is titled Francois' Place, as we play Francois.

This time there are 26 chocolate trophies to collect! Nice to have a change:
  • Home: Finish the first restaurant.
  • Time flies: Finish the second restaurant.
  • Leaving your tracks: Finish the third restaurant.
  • Haute cuisine: Finish the fourth restaurant.
  • The finishing touch: Finish the fifth restaurant.
  • Deliciously quick: Serve 100 products each within 5 seconds
  • Ka-Chinggg: Use your register one-thousand times.
  • That's pretty cheesy: Serve 150 dishes using any kind of cheese as an ingredient. (SPOILER: The cheese products are: Cheesecake and bruschetta with mozzarella - restaurant 1 and 6;  Toast with cheese - Restaurant 3; Club sandwich - Restaurant 5 and 6).
  • Ecstasy: Make sure all your customers in Restaurant 5 leave feeling ecstatic during a day (Customers are ecstatic when you see hearts flying around their heads).
  • Combolicious: Get a 2 customer bonus three times in a row.
  • Delicious expert: Achieve expert score on all days.
  • Trying for target: Get only the target score three days in a row (Obviously, then go back to redo these levels for an expert score).
  • Making Snuggy proud: Find the mouse in every level.
  • Saving for the future: Have 1000 Decoration money or more your chequebook.
  • Three variations: Place three variations of a single product on your tray. (SPOILER: You can get this trophy for the first time in restaurant 1 – Emily’s Place on day 3. Place all three combinations of the bruschetta on your tray).
  • Sweet tooth: Fill your tray with desserts 10 times.
  • Making Evelyn proud: Finish 5 successive days without leaving any dirty tables before closing. This is achieved most easily in restaurant 1.
  • Oops I did it again: Delete 20 items from your tray and complete the day.
  • Let me entertain you: Entertain all seated customers during a whole day.
  • Making some room: Clean a table while customers are waiting to sit there.
  • Keep on walking: Let Emily walk 15 miles.
  • Shopping spree: Buy all shop items in all 5 restaurants.
  • Ring the bell: Pick 50 bell peppers during a day.
  • Serving charcoal: Burn ten dishes and complete the day on expert.
  • I'll take that two: Deliver the same order two times in a row.
  • Women's intuition: Have a complete order on your tray before the order is placed, two times in a row. (SPOILER: Sometimes you just manage this, but if you are having a hard time a good strategy is to serve Gladys. In restaurant 1 she always orders tea & macaroon and in restaurant 5 she orders green tea & apple pie.  After serving Gladys fill your tray with products for the next customer).

Delicious 8 - Emily's Wonder Wedding (Premium Edition)
Release Date: 29/6/12

Emily's big day is coming and you are cordially invited! Emily and Patrick are happily engaged, but when Patrick's mom arrives, bad omens begin appearing. Now Emily and Patrick are in for the ride of their lives. Is their marriage written in the stars, or will fate deal them a bad card?

Find out as you follow Emily on this amazing episodic adventure. Enjoy all-new hijinks and cliffhangers as you work your way through wonderful locations; Invite Emily's friends to the wedding by completing fun challenges; Enjoy a host of new events and upgrades. A rollercoaster of love, laughs, and excitement, it's certain to keep you cheering until the very end.

Platinum Edition includes a bonus restaurant with five episodes! (so of course I had to get it). Altogether, this edition has 26 episodes.

Firstly, this game's format is a little different - we play 'Episodes', with each episode comprising of 2 days (2 levels) and an 'Invitation Challenge'. Secondly, get used to looking UP - because that is where your tray now is! Just like Delicious 7, customers are smarter when it comes to queuing (yay!)

While this is a fun game, with some cool challenges, and a great story, I am disappointed there are no: easter eggs, or trophies. I've become used to this and I LOVE striving to achieve all the extra goals. I really missed hunting for hidden objects. Fingers-crossed that these features are back for the next Emily game...

Invitation Challenges: the 1st 'invitation challenge' means playing a day at the Terrace, while finding/clicking 25 mice! You have to hit the target, and hopefully even get Expert. It you meet the challenge, Amelie (from Delicious 7) gets an invite to the wedding :) Different challenges invite different characters to the wedding!

Emily's Terrace (outside Emily's Place, her cafe from Delicious 7) is the 1st restaurant. It's all about getting used to the new format, with the tray at the top of the screen. There is also a new feature with Patrick putting together bouquets - this means watching two queues and clicking to make orders. After the bouquet is given to the customer, the join the queue to pay at Emily's counter.

The 2nd restaurant is Flannery's Tavern, in Ireland! Once all the additional items are added to the menu, you will be running around the whole tavern: soup on the fire; soap, face clothes and key drops by the door; drinks at the bar; and then all the food at the counter, behind it, and to the side of it!

We head outside for the 3rd restaurant, Gillon's Farm (still in Ireland). I really enjoyed this one and all its little details - right to the point that you shear wool from the sheep, and then spin it into socks and scarves! Too cute :) Annnnd, watch the stream as fish poke their head out of the water for you to click/catch!

Like Flannery's items are spread far and wide to up the challenge: the wool station, catching fish at the river, picking fruit from the trees, the oven and juice station, and in front of and behind the counter.

The 4th restaurant is Snuggford Manor - from the farm to a posh dining establishment! There is the addition of a pastry chef at the back - unlike at Emily's Terrace (with Patrick), customers orders the items but don't queue separately for them. The parfaits caused me a few headaches! Of course customers would be able to order them in four different combinations :P

Back to Ireland, and Flannery's Park for restaurant 5 (outside Flannery's pub). The plot, and incognito characters made me giggle. I really enjoyed opening Emily's wedding presents - the mouse trap made my laugh out loud!!

So pleased I had the extra restaurant with the Platinum edition, Edwardo's Place. This takes place while Emily, Evelyn, Francois and Patrick are in Ireland. Love that we have trouble-making Jimmy changing things up, and surprisingly without any huge screw ups!

We play as Edwardo, and he is adorable - just wait until he gets the hula skirt on (when you leave him standing, he'll dance!). Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant, complete with Snuggy impersonating (or should that be im-parrotanating) a parrot.

  1. I always fall short of 400 cash for buying the decorations. Is it some bug or there some trick for it?

    1. Hi Mena, Which one of the Emily games do you fall short on?? One thing I do is go back and play levels to earn more money! Maybe that would work for you? :)

    2. i was wondering did you find a solution? i have tried everything

    3. Ah sorry Youstina! I completely forgot. From memory, queue 10 actions means you need to do a lot of clicking! It doesn't even matter what actions you have Emily do - just madly click to make sure you have lined up at least 10 actions in a row. Prepare every type of food: my usual tip is to play the last level for each restaurant and make sure you prepare every dish - again it doesn't matter how you go in the level, you just want to make sure you haven't missed a dish. That said, I will check out Delicious 5 again too :)

  3. Hi, Michelle. Love your blog! I was wondering if you could help me. I'm playing Delicious 7 (True Love), and I'm having trouble getting the trophy/chocolate for Trying for target: Get only the target score three days in a row. I do exactly as it says, but no achievement! Any suggestions or tips? Maybe I'm doing it wrong? lol How did you manage it?

    1. Hiya Willow, thanks so much!! :)

For me, I played a level just to the target score - one star, and then did the same for the next level, and the level after - all three in a row. And then I was awarded the trophy. I then went back and did the three levels again to three-stars...

Is that what you are doing? Mxo

  4. Hi! In Delicious 7 how did you go about earning the chocolate where you have to collect 50 peppers in a day? It's the only thing I'm missing!

    1. Hi Nina! From memory, all I did was pick a day/restaurant where the peppers grew, and all I did the whole time was collect peppers! I ignored all the customers etc hehe You can always go back and complete the level properly :) I hope that helps! I do hope to write walkthroughs for all the Emily games!
